Settings in ZenMate 5 for MacOS

ZenMate 5 for MacOS arrives with a few settings and choices that can be accessed directly in the software - see Preferences: 

             

This will open 3 choices for you which will be presented below: 

• General
• Account
• Connection

General: 

Run at startup - Will enable you to have ZenMate 5 started after booting up your MacOS but will not establish a connection. Only the application will start but the VPN will remain "VPN not connected". 

Automatically check for updates - will ensure to automatize the update process for you and notify you with a pop-up when a new version is available. 

Check for updates - A choice useful if you disable "Automatically check for updates". 

Knowledge Base - Will direct you to the FAQ Page on your website 

Report a problem - Feel free to use this feature whenever ZenMate 5 is not functioning properly or you would like to report any difficulties. This will submit a ticket to the Support Department. They will get in touch with you as soon as possible. 

Reset - Will force the ZenMate 5 to be placed back to the default position. 

Account: 

Will display useful information about your ZenMate subscription, the associated username and e-mail address, Plan, Expiration date and Active Devices registered to your Account. 

Connection:

Run Test: Will enable you to test the connection you have with your Internet Service Provider but this is a feature that is useful before the VPN connection is established. It is advised to disconnect from the VPN server when attempting the a Test. 
Remember: this is a test for your Internet by your ISP - not a test of the functionality of the VPN.
